Hybrid wireless sensor network for tourism farm

The mobile devices play an important part in agriculture and tourism today. But most of traditional agriculture wireless sensor networks lack supports for these devices. We report a hybrid wireless sensor network with Near Field Communication (NFC) and ZigBee. The system supports data collecting with ZigBee and tourism service through NFC. By this hybrid framework, information interaction between wireless sensor network and smart device is realized. The designs of node, host computer and APP for hybrid WSN are reported. A ZigBee polling scheme and an interpolation reconstruction algorithm for ZigBee-NFC collision are presented too. The test results show that the hybrid wireless sensor network has simple structure, high reliability, and flexible support for mobile devices. The tourist experience and expenditure in tourism farm are improved by the system too.
