Radiated emission measurements in completely absorber-lined anechoic chambers without groundplanes

A technique is presented for radiated-emission tests in completely absorber-lined chambers which are equipped with floor absorbers instead of groundplanes. Data measured in a completely absorber-lined chamber can be converted to open-site equivalents with an accuracy of +or-0.5 dB (30-1000 MHz) by applying the conversion factors given. The great advantage of this technique is that tests are performed with fixed position of the receiving antenna. There is no need for the time-consuming height scan, which is a major source of errors in tests performed in semianechoic chambers.<<ETX>>
