Polonium-218 deposition measurements in a straight tube

For modeling of radon daughter deposition in the lungs, one requires information on the deposition velocity in straight cylindrical tubes as well as in bifurcations. The authors have carried out detailed numerical and experimental studies on flows and deposition in human lung models and have studied straight tubes as well. They are reporting results on bifurcations elsewhere. This paper summarizes some results on {sup 218}Po deposition in straight tubes.
