NC machining of cylindrical cams for swing driven member

It presents the characteristics of cylindrical cams working surfaces for swing driven members and the resulted machining difficulties. The NC codes generation steps are described in some detail under VB environment,based on the analysis of both swing member movement regulation and the cam surface generation method. The generated NC codes can be input into a four axis machining center for cam machining,and as a result,the efficiency,precision,and extent of intelligence of manufacture for this type of cams can be improved significantly.
