Sliding-Mode Variable Structure Speed Control with Integral Action for Vector-Controlled Asynchronous Motor

A strategy of speed control for vector-controlled asynchronous motor drive system using sliding mode variable structure control with an integral action was proposed. Only speed signal is needed with no requirement of acceleration. It is characterized by robustness to disturbance and fast dynamic response. The steady error of speed control is effectively reduced by the integral action in the proposed scheme. The experimental results verify the effectiveness of the proposed method.
