A Method to Evaluate the Ability of Digital Communication Systems of Tolerating Interference

A investigation of the impact caused by adjacent channel interference (ACI) and co-channel interference (CCI) is presented in this paper. ACI and CCI are the main crimes of interruption of the receivers. Compared to the traditional method that only focus on appearance of systems in the electromagnetic compatibility(EMC) prediction, the toleration of digital communication systems are judged by bit error ratio (BER) in this paper. The outcomes of this research can be used as a guide in the electromagnetic compatibility area to judge the toleration of the system with the ACI or CCI.
