Infrared imaging trajectory correction fuze based GPS and accurate exploding-point control technology

Trajectory correction is a crucial method which can improve shooting precision of ammunition, and it is developing energetically new technology for fuze to implement modification of trajectory by fuze technology abroad. Based on the research of smart ammunition, a new trajectory correction fuze of infrared imaging with the help of GPS and precision exploding point control technology is proposed in this paper. In the ammunition flight process, the data of target location detected by infrared imaging detector are transmitted to fire control system and command center by wireless communication network, then the fuze working style and setting parameter decided by fire control computer according to target characteristic and surroundings parameter is transmitted by the remote control information setting. At the same time the real-time space data of ammunition received by GPS receiver is given to precision exploding point control system, the flying attitude of the ammunition of all the time calculated by the control system is compared with theoretical attitude data at some special point of the theoretic trajectory, thus correcting trajectory by a gas generator of firing power at certain time. The control order and exploding order for aimed warhead is conducted to strike target accurately at destiny point. Besides, circuit of fuze information remote control setting, GPS receiver, precision exploding point control system and systematic software design are detailed. The results indicate that the infrared imaging fuze which can be used to correct trajectory can improve shooting precision and damage efficiency.
