Loading considerations for public safety dispatch on trunked radio systems

Trunked Radio Systems are becoming increasingly common in the Public Safety Services. Groups in public safety dispatch tend to be large with high channel occupancy while other groups in the public safety services tend to be small. Both types of traffic sources must be accommodated by the trunked radio system. Finite source models are shown to be the best way to analyze public safety trunked radio systems.
