A brief review of spatially partially coherent beams for FSO communications

A brief review is provided of the current state of the concepts, analytic theory and simulation capabilities related to the propagation of spatially partially coherent beams through turbulence. A spatially, partially coherent beam can reduce scintillation at the receiver and provide better free space optical link performance.
