Aerodynamic Analysis of Large Horizontal Axis Wind Turbine Blades

The blade of the 1.5 MW wind turbine was modeled and scaled with the Pro/E,gridded in GAMBIT,and calculated by importing FLUENT.The result shows that the upper surface velocity of the airfoil section is greater than the lower surface velocity,and this conclusion tallies with the fact.Thus the scaling model is proved feasible and useful for further research.
