The Practice to Extend the Service Life of Silicon-mangese Arc Furnace Tapping Hole

This thesis aims at the problems of short service life and easy damage of the tapping hole of the silicon-manganese arc furnace.It analyzes comprehensively the short service life and easy damage of the tapping hole via the analysis of the damage mechanism,and the arc furnace is improved from aspects of the process operation,masonry method of refractory materials,operation mode of electrodes etc,extending the service life of the tapping hole utmost.As it is proved by the practical application,this method is effective in the practical smelting production.
