Low-order active disturbance rejection control on furnace pressure of 1000MW power plant

Furnace pressure control is one of the most significant loop in thermal power plant. The stable pressure in furnace guarantees the safety and efficiency of combustion. The frequent disturbances in combustion and multi-loop coupling make it difficult to continuously maintain an anticipated furnace pressure. This paper applied low-order Active Disturbance Rejection Control (ADRC) to furnace pressure control. Through simulation and experiment in a genuine 1000MW power plant, the effectiveness of ADRC is demonstrated on this kind of processes characterized by fast response, frequently disturbed and uncertain dynamic performance.
