Identification strategies for time-delay systems

Some strategies for identification and adaptive control for systems with a single delay element have been given, and results demonstrated for a restricted class of input functions. Suggestions have been made of open research problems, for example the use of time varying loop gains, the optimisation of parameter trajectories, and extensions to general inputs.
