Auto seal authentication system using a handy image capture device

A new method for auto seal authentication with a new image capture device is presented. Different from traditional one, the seal is separated into several sub-blocks, then DCT signs indexed by the locations that we selected under a rule are checked for all of these blocks. Hence the block, that is, the location of doubtful part on the seal image in the authentication result is also able to be output for a easy confirmation. In order to capture the seal-image stable and fast, a new experimental imaging device is also manufactured. Final decision is worked out with a Fuzzy inference. Simulation result shows that the exactness of proposed method is same as or better than the traditional method, and furthermore in the processing time and the required memory our method is better than the traditional one.
