Microstates of the Brain in EEG and ERP Mapping Studies

In the present paper we focus on a particular aspect of brain information processing and the resulting behavior control: its embeddedness into, and thus dependency on, the momentary global functional state of the brain. The state (Ashby 1960) might be defined by anatomical, biochemical, electrophysiological, behavioral, and other measures (Koukkou et al. 1980).
