Collaborative learning with cyber-physical systems

This paper describes the use of pocket labs based on cyber-physical systems in courses during the first year of engineering education. First it points out the need for change and the use of emerging technologies in education. Then it gives examples of individual course modules where these pocket labs can be used and how they will be applied. Finally it will show, how these building blocks will form the basis for the education in later semesters throughout the course of studies.
