GaAs MMICs for use in phased array radar T/R modules

The authors describe GaAs MMICs and measured results for an S-band transmit/receive (Tx/Rx) module with all the associated local control circuitry contained on a thick film hybrid circuit. Techniques for cost reduction in future generations of modules are also discussed. These include the use of high packing density multifunction GaAs MMICs. >
