EDA Tools Usage and Tutorial Authoring for Basic Electronic Circuits Education

This work presents a novel approach to integrating EDA tools and authoring their tutorials for basic electronic circuits education. The approach reflects the practical role of EDA tools in electronic circuits design while keeping hold of the fundamental theories behind basic circuits. Consequently, tutorials start playing a central role in addition to classical references. Therefore, this work also outlines a method that we have come up with at the Notre Dame University - Louaize, within the framework of the Cadence Academic Network, to author and continuously-improve these tutorials in a manner to maximize their effectiveness.
