Integrating Components from the CIP ICT PSP LSP Projects with a National eGovernment Infrastructure – a Concept Study

eGovernment services today mainly serve users in a home country. There is a clear need to extend services to cross-border operation to serve even foreign users. Enhancing existing, national eGovernment infrastructures to meet the challenge is a better approach than changing each and every individual service. Crossborder eGovernment services are the topic of the Large Scale Pilots (LSP) conducted under the EU’s CIP ICT PSP programme. This paper shows at a conceptual level how components developed by the LSPs can be integrated with a national eGovernment infrastructure (Norway) to enable existing and future services to handle foreign users. There is no plan to implement the concept although implementation should be entirely achievable.
