The Monitoring of Host Computer for Forest Fire Detection System Based on Wireless Sensor Network

Wireless Sensor network(WSN), which was made by the convergence of sensor, micro-electro-mechanism system and networks technologies, was a novel technology about acquiring and processing information. Wireless sensor network (WSN) had a great application value and wide application prospect in the fields of military, agriculture, environmental monitoring, medical health, industry, intelligent transportation, building monitoring, space exploration and so on. This paper presented a implementation scheme of communication for forest fire detection oriented wireless sensor network and monitoring computer, which developed monitoring computer client interface using VB6.0 and SQL SERVER 2000. Monitoring interface included the real-time display of variable parameters such as selected node object, current temperature tested by selected node, relative humidity, atmospheric pressure, wind speed, smoke concentration and so on. And it also included the query of above-mentioned parameters' historical trend curve, set of temperature alarm value, alarm when temperature exceeded the critical value, display of data transmission rates as well as the functions of software suspend and restart of the node to distribute data.
