ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT OF FLOOR STRUCTURES FROM FIBRE CONCRETE - STUDY

Optimization of material consumption is one of the basic approaches applied in the development process of new types of structures and structural elements, respecting requirements of sustainable construction. Several studies comparing environmental profiles of different floor structures have been already performed in the frame of research at the CTU in Prague. Development of fibre reinforced concrete creates preconditions for reduction of dimensions of structural elements. This leads to savings in primary material use and consequently improved environmental parameters of entire structures.
