We completely miss mention about structural proteins of CNS. Detection of 14-3-3 protein in CSF is a part of diagnostic criteria of Creutzfeldt–Jakob disease [2]. The Neuron Specific Enolase (NSE) and Tau protein have probably the same diagnostic relevance [3,4]. Also the diagnostic role of so-called CSF triplet of Tau protein, phospho-Tau and beta-amyloid has been established in the diagnostics of Alzheimer dementia [5].
