Channel estimation method for 802.11a WLAN with multiple-antenna

Multiple transmit and receive antennas can be used in OFDM system to improve communication quality and capacity. In this paper, frequency domain channel estimation method is studied for OFDM based MIMO system in generalized condition, and a mathematic method is provided to deduce the training sequence design result. The channel estimation method is realized in an 802.11a based MIMO system and the simulation results show that this method works well.
