A method for real-time accessing massive remote sensing image data in three-dimensional GIS

This paper describes a method for real-time accessing the massive remote sensing image data in three-dimensional GIS. At present, compressed texture images like DDS format files are used in most available three-dimensional GIS as an image data source, undoubtedly those image data can be loaded very fast, but they are hard to update and cost a lot of time to process the original images into compressed texture images. The method described in this paper has more flexible in solve this problem by dynamic projecting the image data.
