On the Composition and Formation Process of "Environmental Studies" Empirical Analysis Using the "Journal Community" Theory

In this paper, we would like to investigate the composition and formation process of "Environmental Studies" reflexively. Needless to say, a significant number of studies that describe themselves as "Environmental Studies" have been made. But what seems to be lacking is consideration of the composition and formation process of these studies. Therefore, there are two main purposes to this paper: to identify the composition and formation process of "Environmental Studies", and to build an examination technique to highlight the content of vague interdisciplinary fields (like "Environmental Studies") First, in regard to examination technique, we draw upon the "paradigm" theory and the "journal community" theory. Following this examination, in both the composition and formation process, a clear-cut structure of the "center and margin" (especially the "moving center" and the "invisible margin") can be observed in "Environmental Studies".
