Adaptive Process Control for Injection Molding

In recent years, process controls for injection molding have developed from simple open-loop systems to more sophisticated closed-loop systems that provide im proved quality of molded product, and greater productivity. In particular, closed-loop con trol of the injection step, involving closed loop-control of injection velocity during cavity filling, switch-over by pressure detection, and closed-loop control of the holding pressure, is a widely accepted methodology for maintaining high product quality.
