Study on A Kind of Warship Formation Underway Replenishment Scheduling Problem

Underway replenishment for warship formation involve many types of warships which distribute in a wide range and need different types of supplies. What’s more, the supply strategies are diversified. In order to study the process of underway replenishment scheduling and improve the replenishment efficiency, an analogy is made between the underway replenishment scheduling problem (URSP) of warship formation and vehicle scheduling problem (VSP), and the impact factors to URSP based on the analysis of the similarity and difference between URSP and VSP. The model of URSP is described, and its parameters are analyzed, and the quantitative approaches are given. The heuristic approach is provided to solve URSP, and an example is used to work out the replenishment sequence for ships, the type, quantity and sequence for materials, and the strategy to use. Results show feasibility and the effectiveness of the analogy of VSP and models and algorithm given above are able to provide decision support for underway replenishment of a kind of warship formation.
