40 Gbit/s (4 × 10 Gbit/s) Y-00 protocol for secure optical communication and its transmission over 120 km

WDM transmitter and receiver for physical stream cipher based on Y-00 protocol using 64-level intensity modulation are demonstrated for increasing transmission capacity. 40-Gb/s Y-00 signals are successfully transmitted over 120-km amplifier repeater transmission line.
