This is the Executive Summary of Volume 5 of a six-volume final report presenting the findings of the research work that was undertaken to develop a framework for managing bridge maintenance, rehabilitation and replacement activities in Indiana. Volume 5 presents the findings of the part of the research work dealing with the development of a priority ranking method for bridge project selection. The volume also includes an analysis to determine the effectiveness of bridge replacement and rehabilitation projects with respect to bridge structural condition ratings and remaining service lives.
