In this paper a simple heart phantom made of silicon rubber is presented. This phantom can be placed into a machine that is able to mimic the pump movement of the heart. If the elastomechanical properties of the rubber material and the external forces are well known the complete stress and strain distribution inside the moving heart phantom can be determined. Using this phantom various imaging techniques can be tested.
