Heat and Moisture Production for Pigs on Animal and House Level

Experiences from field experiments over the last two decades show that by calculation of
heat and moisture production in conventional animal houses, it is important to take into account
evaporation of water from feed, water and manure. Furthermore, a dynamic model, taking into account
the diurnal rhythm due to feeding and light regime should replace the traditional steady state
model.
