Method for testing video output signals of television

The invention discloses a method for testing video output signals of a television. The invention comprises a television to be tested, a video signal tester and a PC (personal computer) or other upper computers connected with the video signal tester via an RS232 bus, wherein the video signal tester comprises a video signal testing circuit, an accompanying sound shaping circuit connected with the video signal testing circuit, a 1.2KHZ audio signal generation circuit and a color-bar video signal generator; an AV1 video input terminal of the television to be tested is connected with the color-bar video signal generation circuit; and an AV1 audio input terminal thereof is connected with the 1.2KHZ audio signal generation circuit. The tests on the level parameter and time parameter of the video signal are immediately started after the video signal tester identifies the 1.2KHZ accompanying sound and then ensures that the current television to be tested is on the AV1 channel. Compared with the image testing method based on subjective judgment, the invention improves the testing efficiency and accelerates the testing progress.
