Summary The authors have studied the interstitial tissue of the testis of some species of Elasmobrahchs (Rajiformes: Torpedo marmorata, T. ocellata, Raja oxyrhyncus; Squaliformes: Scylliorhinus stellaris, S. caniculp, Mustelus laevis, Prionace glauca). The histological and histochemical observations confirm the presence of the Leydig's cells in all the species considered, although they show quantitative variations not only between species, but even between different individuals of the same species.
