Method for determining the position of the head of a vehicle driver

The invention relates to a method for determining the laying of the head (10) of a vehicle driver, comprising steps of: a) acquisition of at least one image on which at least part of the driver's head appears , b) processing said image to locate particular points of the driver's head, and c) determining the laying of the driver's head, according to the position of the particular points on said image. According to the invention, in step a), said image is acquired in the field of thermal infrared.
