Recognizing restricted handwritten Chinese characters by structure similarity method

Abstract This paper advances a recognition method of restricted handwritten Chinese characters by using structure similarity. Error correction analysis is used in a certain range. System tests have been conducted for frequently used Chinese characters on an IBM-PC/AT computer.
