Technology of Piecewise Linear Slope Compensation in Peak Current-Mode Controlled Circuit

PWM feedback technology is widely used in modern DC-DC chip.The paper discusses the function of slope compensation in the peak current-mode control of PWM mode.Combining with the peak current-mode,a method of piecewise linear slope compensation for DC-DC converter is presented,which provides compensation signal that its slopes are different at different duty cycles.This paper introduces the spirit of the design and presents the factual circuit finally.This circuit is designed on the basis of Hynix 0.5 μm CMOS Standard Logic process,and its performance has been verified by Hspice simulation.The optimization design of piecewise linear slope compensation circuit improves the output current capability and transient response of the system.
