The European Landscape of Qualitative Social Research Archives: Methodological and Practical Issues

En este articulo describo las practicas actuales de archivo y reutilizacion de datos cualitativos. Abordo la localizacion de fuentes de archivo de datos cualitativos, asi como alguno de los debates metodologicos, eticos y teoricos relacionados con la reutilizacion de datos. A continuacion me ocupo de aspectos de orden mas pragmatico, como aquellos que implican la adquisicion, conservacion y acceso a estos datos, asi como el apoyo a su utilizacion. ?Cual es el mejor lugar para alojar las colecciones de datos cualitativos? ?Es en las bibliotecas o archivos tradicionales, junto a documentos historicos, o mejor como parte de colecciones digitales de caracter mas holistico, en el marco de los recursos de las ciencias sociales contemporaneas? Esta cuestion esta relacionada con la accesibilidad, el descubrimiento de recursos, los metodos de catalogacion, de preparacion de datos, asi como con los esfuerzos de promocion y difusion para su empleo.
