Lasing of the Rhodamine 6G in the Planar Waveguides Formed from Thin Hybrid Films of the Silica and Titania

We report waveguide mode lasing in the mesoscopic ordered organic-inorganic SiO 2 and TiO2 films doped by Rhodamine 6G formed of the glass substrate. Inorganic matrices had a refractive index lower 1,499) and higher (1,565) then the index of glass substrate. The laser oscillation was observed on the quasi modes of the film waveguide which possess radiative loses in a substrate. This lasing was accompanied by radiation of substrate radiative mode.
