Plug-in hybrid without generator

The energy conversion, which includes the energy storage in the electrochemical battery is not very effective, therefore the recharging of battery from the engine at longer trips is not suitable. The proposed concept of plug in hybrid (PHEV) offers instead of a generator the standard manual gearbox connected with one axis and the second axis of vehicle is driven by electric motor EM. The comeback of parallel-drive concept can increase the vehicle reliability, because the both independent parallel drives are strong enough to drive vehicle separately and the EM can serve as a generator for recuperative braking similarly as in common hybrid connected with engine via wheels.
