Zur Kenntnis der elektrolytischen Abscheidung von Metallpulvern: Die quantitativen Zusammenhänge mit den Transportvorgängen bei natürlicher Konvektion

The deposition of Cu-powder from CuSO4 solutions of various composition has been studied. The experiments were carried out with vertical electrodes under conditions of natural convection. The current density at which powder starts to be formed was determined by measuring the impedance of the deposited metal with an a–c-current bridge. The reactance of the system cathode-Cu++ions falls off sharply when the electrode becomes covered with powder.
