Multimedia redirection method, device and system

Embodiments of the present invention relate to the technical field of multimedia. Provided are a multimedia redirection method, device and system, for addressing a problem in the prior art in which a multimedia redirection technology is not suitable for a non-Windows-operating-system-based client terminal. The specific solution is: receiving, by a server, a hardware decoding capacity transmitted by a client terminal, and the hardware decoding capacity refers to: the client terminal transforms the hardware decoding capacity of the non-Windows operating system to the hardware decoding capacity of a DirectX Video Acceleration DXVA specification; after the server receives the hardware decoding capacity, restoring, by the server, video data to a video code stream in a standard coding format and transmitting, by the server, the video data stream to the client terminal for decoding and display. The embodiments of the present invention is used for multimedia redirection of the non-Windows-operating-system-based client terminal.
