The Smoothing and Denoising Algorithms of Point Clouds Based on Phase Diagram in Phase-Measuring Profilometry

The traditional smoothing and denoising method of point clouds usually needs to establish topological relations among points to go through their K-nearest neighbors in the three-dimensional reconstruction based on phase-measuring profilometry, which has brought about the dramatic increase in computational complexity. A new algorithm of denoising algorithms of phase diagram was put forward to eliminate scatterplots dislodging of the point clouds with high speed to decrease computational complexity greatly. Some Image smooth filtering algorithm were also applied to phase diagram to make the point clouds be more smoother. The experimental results show that the proposed algorithm can improve the quality of point clouds of 1.3 million point clouds only within 4 seconds on current PC.
