Method and system for automatic detection of suspected counterfeit websites

The invention relates to a method for automatic detection of suspected counterfeit websites. The method comprises the steps of (1) receiving multiple website addresses; (2) judging whether a website address is matched with a white list, allowing access, adding a white list tab and skipping to step (6) if the website address is matched with the white list, and moving on to the next step if the website address is not matched with the white list; (3) judging whether the website address is matched with a black list, prohibiting access, adding a black list tab and skipping to the step (6) if the website address is matched with the black list, and moving on to the next step if the website address is not matched with the black list; (4) comparing the current website content with exclusive identifications of all websites on the white list, calculating similarity and obtaining a maximum similarity value; (5) judging whether the maximum similarity value is lager than a preset threshold value, confirming that the website address belongs to a suspected counterfeit website if the maximum similarity value is lager than the preset threshold value, and confirming that the website address does not belong to any suspected counterfeit website if the maximum similarity value is not lager than the preset threshold value; (6) judging whether untagged website addresses exist, moving back to the step (2) if the untagged website addresses exist, and ending the detection if no untagged website address exists. The method for automatic detection of the suspected counterfeit websites is capable of detecting the suspected counterfeit websites before the interest of a user is violated, and then loss of the user is reduced.
