Magneto-electric Generator Based on Automotive Vibration Energy

Due to the uneven road, the unstable quality of transmission system and so on, the automotive rear axle will vibrate randomly, which decreases the energy transformation efficiency of automobile in a certain extent. In order to use automotive vibration, a kind of magneto-electric vibration generator is put forward in this paper. The generator can collect the automotive vibration energy, which is transformed into usable electrical energy. The device is designed based on the principle of magnetic induction, and permanent magnet installed on the mandrel can feel the automotive vibration incentive. Therefore, it makes reciprocating motion in axial direction and relative movement with the coil, eventually cuts the magneto-tactic lines to generate electricity. The structure and three-dimensional model, the design of parameters and experiment platform are researched. The generator’s advantages include small volume, high efficiency, saving energy and environmental friendly.
