The New Demographics of Higher Education

The potential clientele for U.S. higher education is changing dramatically. The consequences for U.S. colleges and universities could be significant. Many areas, from admissions and academic programs to faculty appointments and fund raising, are being affected. This article describes the major demographic shifts and some of the novel actions that institutions have begun to take in response to them.
