In general, the blast treatment has become an important process in the manufacturing of steel structures in Korea, its purpose is to remove the impurities on the surface of steel material and to enhance the adhesiveness of coating. In this study, it is analyzed that blast treatment has effect on the fatigue strength on welded joints by conducting bending fatigue test for one side out-of-plane gusset specimen. Also, it has proposed the data base which is necessary for fatigue design standard of steel structures, that is compared and analyzed with tension fatigue test result of one side out-of-plane gusset specimen which is conducted as the precedence study. The fatigue test was carried out 4-point bending fatigue test targeting each of 3 one side out-of-plane gusset specimen, which were performed BT(blast treated) with AW(as-welded). As a result of fatigue test, it could be known that the lower stress range leads to the bigger effect of enhancing fatigue strength.
