IMPROVEMENT OF THE TECHNIQUE PERTURB AND OBSERVE FOR THE EXTRACTION OF THE MAXIMUM POWER OF THE PHOTOVOLTAIC CELLS

The objective of this paper is to present an electronic system allowing the extraction of the maximum power of the photovoltaic panels for charging solar batteries. This system consists in using a boost chopper provided with a numerical inspecting device based on the implementation of an improved algorithm (P&O). This improvement was introduced on the one hand by the use of a variable step of disturbance, this enables us more quickly to reach the point of maximum power (MPP), and on the other hand a stop is envisaged each time the system is in the vicinity of the required point. In this work, we present boost realized thus that its control circuit, we present also the experimental results. These results show that the objective is achieved. Indeed the maximum of power is detected with a remarkable reduction of oscillations, especially around the MPP.
