The turnout enables trains to be guided from one railway track to another, and it consist of point, lead and crossing part. Also, its structure and section is very complex, and safety issues are always being considered because of sudden change in contact between the vehicle and the rail.
In this paper, we analyzed running safety of vehicle by changing section shape of the point part, crossing part and guard rail in order to examine the effect that changes of section shape had on running safety of the vehicle. We analyzed the running safety of vehicle by changing tongue rail length of the point part and nose rail height of the crossing part and length of the point part on F10/F12 turnout.
