Study the relationship between the resistance and ESDD of a contaminated insulator a laboratory approach

The level of contamination on the surface of the insulator is represented by the Equivalent Salt Deposit Density. In the laboratory, two types of salts (NaCl, CuSO/sub 4/) with different amounts are used for studying the relationship between the resistance and ESDD of a contaminated insulator. From the results, it is seen that the resistance of the insulator decreases with increasing the values of Equivalent Salt Deposit Density.
