Finite‐element matrices for loss calculation in quasi‐tem analysis of microwave transmission lines

Finite-element matrices for loss calculation of a dominant quasi-TEM mode propagating along a uniform transmission line are given. These matrices refer to Nth-order polynomial expansions of the field and are independent of the shape of the triangular element. The dielectric and conductor losses are calculated using a perturbational approach.
